Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO Information and Schedule
Opened in 1991, and with an inaugural performance by Steve Winwood, the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, MO is a 20,000-seat venue designed as an outdoor concert destination for the St. Louis metropolitan area. Just a mile from major highway junctions, it plays host to some major names in music and entertainment as well as different festivals such as Lollapalooza, the Anger Management Tour and Ozzfest, among others.
To accommodate traffic patterns and large crowds, there are Hollywood Casino Shuttle services as well as alternative traffic patterns. The Hollywood Casino is also on the same property and visitors can head to the many different dining options within the casino itself before enjoying a show.
The amphitheater features 7,000 indoor seats and lawn seating for another 13,000. It is a seasonal venue and there are options for general parking, elite parking and VIP parking that coordinate with ticketing. All events go on, rain or shine, though severe weather can cause delays or even postponement.
Visitors can use main interstates from all directions and access the property directly from primary exits.
All visitors are screened for security. Bags are subject to search, and there is even a no bags search line to facilitate entry. Visitors may not bring aerosol cans, beverages other than water, coolers, laser pointers, drones, chairs over 9" in height, strollers, pets (except service animals), fireworks, professional cameras, umbrellas, video or audio recorders, strollers, weapons, video and removable lens cameras into the site.
Concessions are extensive and include everything from sit-down dining at gourmet burger restaurants or BBQ establishments to grab and go options ideal for picnics on the grounds. Tailgating is permitted, but only for one hour prior to the gates opening and no alcohol is allowed. Picnics on the lawn are quite common and easily stocked using concessions options. There are 21 hotels in the area, and even more just a short distance outside of the Maryland Heights region.
