AT&T Park List of Events 2015:
AT&T Park is one of the most popular venues on the west coast of the United States. The home of the San Francisco Giants from Major League Baseball has seen its home team win three World Series championships in the past five seasons. The venue, which was once known for the home runs that would land in McCovey Cove off the bat of Barry Bonds, is now known for being the home of a dynasty.
AT&T Park has also been the site of many memorable entertainment events and musical concerts since it opened in 2000. The venue was the home of the San Francisco Demons from the Xtreme Football League, the First Hunger Bowl, as well as the California Golden Bears collegiate football team. The United States men’s national soccer team has also played an international friendly match here and the venue is also the site of Kanye West’s proposal to wife, Kim Kardashian.
In 2015, there are two notable concerts scheduled to be held here. These concerts will bring an American rock and roll legend, as well as an Australian group that has been impressing fans with their music for more than four decades.
Billy Joel, the native of The Bronx, NY, has been entertaining music fans since 1965. It wasn’t until the release of his 1973 album, Piano Man, did he begin his rise in the business. Off that album, he released such popular tracks “Piano Man,” “Travelin’ Prayer,” and “Worse Comes to Worst.” Joel has now released a total of 13 studio albums in his career and has sold more than 150 million records worldwide. Among his most popular albums to date include The Stranger, which has sold more than 10 million copies in the United States and Greatest Hits – Vol. I & Vol. II, which has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America 23 times.
AC/DC recently led off the 2015 Grammy Awards with an amazing performance and not soon after, announced their plans to tour around the United States. The “Rock or Bust World Tour” will bring the Australian group to 13 North American cities including San Francisco. The group released their 17th studio album in November of 2014 and will look to tear down the house at AT&T Park this September. Their fans will hope to hear some of their greatest hits including “Back in Black,” “Highway to Hell,” “Thunderstruck,” and “Stiff Upper Lip.”
