Wiz Khalifa Tickets

It surprises many to learn that rapper and songwriter Wiz Khalifa is a former "Army brat," but he did spend most of his childhood moving with his military family. This is some of what has influenced his work, and the Eurodance and urban styling that has kept him at the top of the charts since 2008 can be enjoyed during his "Dazed and Blazed" tour w/Rae Sremmurd.  This tour will visit countless outdoor amphitheatres and pavilions during the summer months of 2018. (read more below)

Though he is a very young guy, Wiz Khalifa has already accomplished a lot in his career. This is because he had already made a demo by the age of 16 and was able to release his first album in 2006. At that time, Rolling Stone magazine tagged him as a star to watch.

He experienced what he has referred to as seven years of growth as an artist early in his career, and then began planning for a new collaboration with other rappers. This led to further work and more projects, and it was when he released his first single under the Rostrum/Atlantic label that he enjoyed his break into the mainstream.

His first studio album was "Rolling Papers" and it hit the airwaves at an impressive number two in the Billboard charts. This success has kept growing and he has released five solo albums along with his many collaborations and mixed tapes.

His personal life also makes regular appearances in the tabloids, and this is for good and bad reasons. For one thing, Wiz Khalifa is extremely honest about his use of cannabis and freely admits to the amount of money he spends on the drug. However, he also indicated that he would tone down his lifestyle and limit the amount of touring he does since having a son with his wife Amber Rose early in 2013.

With a name that means "Wizard Successor", Wiz Khalifa is definitely proving himself to be a somewhat savvy and smart artist of the era. Rather than struggling to get himself as the headliner, he started out collaborating and learning his art. He then stepped into the limelight and has received ongoing critical praise, many awards and nominations, and a growing audience.

He has pointed to some unique influences for his work, including Jimi Hendrix and B.I.G., but it is clear that his personal life is also a strong influence. This makes him a unique force and one to keep watching.
