Dallas Cowboys Tickets

Dallas Cowboys Promo/Coupon Code = FOOTBALL

The Dallas Cowboys became the first successful new franchise in the National Football League in 1960 since the All-American Football Conference collapsed a decade before. The Cowboys’ management of Clint Murchison Jr. (majority owner), Tex Schramm (general manager), Tom Landry (head coach) and Gil Brandt (player personnel director) started the unprecedented success of the team in pro American football. The franchise started their history in the Cotton Bowl in 1960. The rise to contention of the franchise came in the 1966 season when the team set an NFL record of 20 consecutive winning seasons, of which they reached the playoffs 18 times, with 13 NFC Eastern division titles. During this period, they won two Super Bowl titles (VI and XII) in five trips to the finals. The Cowboys were personified as a good team that was unable to win big games. They were able to advance deep in the playoffs, but not able to win it all, especially in the 1970 season in which they lost to the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl V with a score of 16-13. However, the next year, they captured their first Super Bowl title with an emphatic 24-3 trumping of the Miami Dolphins.

A new era of the Cowboys started in 1971 as the new Texas Stadium was opened and served as the home stadium for the team until 2008. The team is not just only known as one of the contenders, but also called "America's Team," due to their uniform and in terms of their image-enhancing promotions which include the official team’s apparel and souvenirs plus the popular Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. In 1988, the Cowboys ended the season with a losing record of 3-13. In the following year, the team was sold to Jerry Jones, who is still the current owner. The Cowboys were able to implement a turnaround and went back to elite status, reaching and winning the Super Bowl XXVII in 1992. They also won Super Bowl XXVIII in 1993. In the 1990s, the team was dubbed as the "Team of the Nineties" as another Super Bowl title came to them in Super Bowl XXX.

After their successful stint at the Texas Stadium, the team moved to the new AT&T Stadium in 2009. This stadium features the biggest retractable roof in the world and with the roof closed, the stadium is the biggest enclosed stadium in NFL. It also has the biggest HDTV hanging in the center of the field. Another feature is the single-span roof structure, which is the longest in the world. This stadium can be configured to accommodate other events aside from football and can seat as many as 100,000 spectators. Originally known as the Cowboys Stadium, it was renamed after the naming rights were acquired by AT&T.
