Cheap Denver Broncos Tickets:
When it comes to elite teams and successful runs in the National Football League since the NFL-AFL merger in the 1970, the franchise of the Denver Broncos is the team to remember. Success in terms of their games as well as fan attendance provided a wonderful run for the Broncos that they still enjoy to this day. The Broncos joined the pro American football scene in 1960 in the American Football League as a charter franchise. At this time, AFL was just starting and the AFL teams were targets of jeers and jokes by the well-established NFL. A minor league baseball owner was the first owner of the Broncos and he was Bob Howsam. With huge financial strains, the team of the upstarting Broncos wore used uniforms and the vertically-striped socks. Their AFL stint was mostly bleak, but some of the highlights in the 1960s were the victory of the Broncos in the first AFL game ever in 1960 against Boston Patriots. However, the record of the Broncos at this decade was 39-97-4, the worst in the original charter franchise of the AFL.
The Broncos first played at the Bears Stadium from 1960 to 2000. It was renamed as the Mile High Stadium in 1968. The city of Denver, made huge investments and renovations for the stadium resulting in greater seating capacity and increased ticket sales. The first winning season for the Broncos came in 1973, three years after the merger. For the next two decades, the Broncos were always on the winning side, except for three different seasons. From 1977 to 1991, the Broncos had seven divisional titles (AFC West) and four AFC titles where they reached the Super Bowl but were unable to win. The best seasons of the Broncos came in 1997-98 and 1998-99 when they won back to back Super Bowls, (XXXII and XXXIII) against the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons respectively. Success still came to the Broncos in the early 2000s and 2010s as the team acquired star QB Peyton Manning from the Colts in 2012 off-season. This football powerhouse also won Super Bowl 50 which was held at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.
Currently, the Broncos are playing at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High since 2001. This stadium is also known as Invesco Field at Mile High. This stadium replaced the same-sized but obsolete (commercially) Mile High Stadium and it cost $450 million. The naming rights of this stadium were recently acquired by the Sports Authority in 2011. This stadium is situated in an area that is 5,280 feet above sea level and provides the most challenging ambience and environments for the visiting clubs in the NFL. The stadium is sitting on 1.8 million square feet of land supporting a seating capacity of 76,125 and this is the sixth biggest stadium in the NFL today.
